SharePoint Designer

So recently went on a 4 day training course to try and learn all there is to know about being a SharePoint developer / designer.

The Microsoft world is a whole different ball game and I only managed to scratch the surface of this beast. However I am very intrigued
and will definately be spending time on this system to get to grips with all the in’s and out’s of work-flows, content types, columns etc. etc.

However, there is real power behind using SharePoint as a platform, especially within a big corporate structure where they might have multiple sites & intranet running and this needs to be centralized.

Damai Bungalows

I spent 3 weeks in Sumatra last year, and landed the job of updating the look and feel of the Damai Bungalows website.

Loved this place and our friendly hosts, so it was with pleasure that I offered to help out. Luckily they were already running WordPress,
so it integrating the new Theme was relatively seem-less and required little “head-scratching”.

Damai Bungalows is a perfect base to explore the surf Sumatra’s southern coast has to offer. We overlook the longest most consistent left hander in the region, UJUNG BOCOR, on the point of Tanjung Setia.

White space becomes even more of a necessity in mobile design because the typical screen size is so much smaller. A jumbled website would be very user-unfriendly and very difficult to pull off in the mobile environment. The best thing you can do to lay a solid foundation for a usable mobile website is to incorporate clean and semantic markup.

Hi there,

I am taking a break from work and the 8-5 grind and will be roaming the beaches and jungles of Sumatra (Indonesia) until the end of November.

Sumatra, where is that??? This was the general response I received from most people when I told them where I was off to. Not that many Westerners have visited this island..which is what makes it so exciting.

Sumatra has something for everyone to explore – lush rainforests, exotic flora and fauna, cascading rivers, sparkling crater lakes, beautiful white sand beaches, impressive volcanoes, limestone caves and an incredible diverse array of traditional ethnic groups who inhabit some of the most spectacular volcanic landscapes of the world. The main reason we are going is for the surfing.
